I came to this auto repair shop about a year ago and can hardly believe what this place tried to pull. I was told that my car needed a timing belt replaced and several other issues repaired. I was quoted $3,000+ and told that if these repairs weren’t taken care of soon my car would break down. Something felt off, so I decided to see if another shop was seeing the same problem. Turns out, based on 2 other auto repair shops opinions, none of the “issues” that global car care found were needed. I ended up going with another local auto shop (Erik’s) and spent about $800 total. That was nearly a year ago and my car has been running great since! Based on this experience, it appears as though Global Car Care saw a young, single woman, who likely didn’t know much about cars and thought they could get away with insanely overcharging. These are the types of auto repair places that my parents have always warned me about and I am so glad I did not give them any service other than the fee they charged me for the diagnostic.
